Awesome Authors

This post has nothing to do with television, celebrity stalkers, or anything else I have blogged about before. I love reading romance novels, particularly Harlequin novels. (The Blaze line is my favorite!) One thing I have noticed about the novels is that almost always the author leaves a snail mail address, email address, and/or website where you can contact them. Some also have blogs that they update regularly and converse with their readers on.

Now, these authors are I'm sure very busy people. Between writing their next great novel, editing, revising, etc their work, taking care of their families, and I'm sure in some cases, working at some sort of other job, I don't know how they have time to interact with their readers online, but they do it anyway. For that, I want to say to all of them, Thank You. You make me proud to call you my favorite authors.

Which is Smarter?

Here's a question for all of you. Which is smarter, a control-freak network executive who has no clue what the fans like and doesn't care or a dog that licks it's butt every time it takes a crap? My money's on the dog! I'm a fan of many types of shows, crime dramas, medical dramas, documentaries, and soap operas. My favorite show is a soap opera. I have mentioned before that I have met a certain daytime actress and that we have a mutual friend. The show she's on is my favorite show.

Why am I being so cryptic, you may ask? Simple, I want to protect the actress's privacy and I am about to ream the head of daytime programing at her network a new one and don't want to get sued or get her into trouble.

The executive I am talking about is a middle-aged man who seemingly makes his decisions using the wrong head. For the last few years especially, he has been dictating to the EP and the Head Writers at the shows on his network what couples are to be together and what storylines to air.

On my favorite show, he ordered the end of a couple that was bringing in fantastic ratings in favor of putting the actress back into a pairing with her real-life ex who everyone knew had cheated on her with a co-star. It was obvious, and still is to this day that there is no chemistry whatsoever between the actress and actor, and that the actor isn't even in her league talent wise. His biggest talent is having gallons of snot come pouring out of his nose on cue when a scene calls for him to cry instead of having tears come out of his eyes. The network executive, however, thinks that the pairing of this actor with the unfortunate actress who has to carry him in every scene is one of the greatest pairings in daytime history.

Another, more recent thing he has done is break up a very popular pairing, one that both the actor and actress (let's call them Actor 1 and Actress 1) in the pairing both have been very vocal about loving and the fans for the most part loved as well in favor of pairings that no one wants to see, not the two of them, and not the people they are paired with now (Actor 2 and Actress 2), for the simple reason that the two couples have been together before and there's nothing more for them to do. This decision from all appearances was made because of the talent Actress 2 has for taking off her clothes and quite possibly, even likely, her other "talents" that can't be shown on TV.

One last example of his poor decision making and obvious inability to relate to the fans is the decision he made to bring in an actress who couldn't act her way out of a paper bag and try to turn her into the female lead of the show by pairing her with the male lead, who is one of the most popular actors in daytime. A man who would have chemistry with a box of rocks, but no matter what he did, couldn't make a pairing with her believable. This actress, in what I can only call the most unprofessional, immature behavior I have ever seen went online in a chat room with her fans and called him a bastard for not ever inviting her to his home. On anther occasion in one of the popular soap magazines she insinuated that she got him, a man who has happily been with his wife for over 20 years, so hot and bothered in a scene that he had to walk away before he jumped her on set, something that is now known to be a flat-out lie by the actress told to convince people that their pairing has chemistry. This actress's unprofessionalism and total lack of respect for others knows no bounds and until recently, she was on the screen at least once in each of the six segments of the show and was inserted in nearly every storyline.

These decisions, as well as many others that he has made over the last few years have caused the ratings of the show to steadily decline, morale backstage to decline, and the fans to become more and more disgruntled because he isn't listening to what they want to see on the show, instead he is trying to "train" them to like what he wants, something I am happy to say he is failing miserably to do!

So, you tell me, who's smarter, this network executive who is driving the shows on his network into the ground or the dog who's favorite past time is licking it's butt? I still say the dog, what do you think?

HEIDIMARIE CAPTURED IN TIJUANA!!!!

It's official! HeidiMarie Schnitzer has been arrested and detained in Tijuana, Mexico. Mexican authorities took her into custody and turned her over to Immigration authorities Thursday. She will most likely be deported to her home country of Austria for trial. Here is a copy of the Yahoo! story and a link to it.

DAVID CARUSO'S ALLEGED STALKER DETAINED IN MEXICO

TIJUANA, Mexico – Mexican officials have detained an Austrian woman accused of stalking "CSI: Miami" star David Caruso.
Austrian prosecutors say the woman sent the American actor more than 100 letters, pursued him for an autograph and then sent death threats when he refused to give her one.
She was charged with stalking and threatening to kill Caruso, but failed to show up for court in 2007 and was believed to be on the run.
Tijuana police said Friday they detained the woman with the help of a blog titled The Stalker Chronicles, dedicated to the woman's arrest. She was turned over to immigration officials late Thursday and will likely be deported.
Caruso plays Miami police Lt. Horatio Caine on the crime drama series on U.S. network CBS.

Congratulations to Sarakanne for leading the charge to bring HeidiMarie to justice with her blog, The Stalker Chronicles and to everyone else who has been instrumental in bringing Heidi to justice.

Heidi, Listen Up and Pay Attention!

This is the only time I am going to address this issue with you. Yes, I have Bipolar disorder. Since you seem to be completely ignorant of what it is, here is an explanation in terms you should understand. People with Bipolar disorder have more extreme mood swings than the normal person. Those mood swings cause the following:

Symptoms of mania - the "highs" of bipolar disorder
Increased physical and mental activity and energy
Heightened mood, exaggerated optimism and self-confidence
Excessive irritability, aggressive behavior
Decreased need for sleep without experiencing fatigue
Racing speech, racing thoughts
Impulsiveness, poor judgment, distractability
Reckless behavior
In the most severe cases, delusions and hallucinations
Symptoms of depression - the "lows" of bipolar disorder
Prolonged sadness or unexplained crying spells
Significant changes in appetite and sleep patterns
Irritability, anger, worry, agitation, anxiety
Pessimism, indifference
Loss of energy, persistent lethargy
Feelings of guilt, worthlessness
Inability to concentrate, indecisiveness
Inability to take pleasure in former interests, social withdrawal
Unexplained aches and pains
Recurring thoughts of death or suicide.

When a person with Bipolar is on medication and takes it the way it is prescribed, they live normal, healthy lives. They don't experience those extreme highs and lows. I don't have those extreme highs and lows, instead I have the normal feelings and moods that people without Bipolar Disorder have. I have a job as an accountant, a family, and a wonderful life. The only bad or mentally unstable/mentally challenged part of my life is you with your ignorance and psychosis. So, do me, and the rest of the world a favor. Turn off your computer and go to the nearest police station and turn yourself in. If you can't manage to do that, call the police and they will come to where you are and pick you up. Own up to what you have done and face the consequences. Let the rest of us live our lives in peace.

And for the record, I don't approve comments that include profanity, vulgarity, have nothing to do with the topic in the post, or in general make no sense to an educated person. So if I don't approve one or more of your comments, you know why!

A different kind of celebrity stalker

I've been talking in recent blogs about celebrity stalkers such as HeidiMarie Schnitzer who are a serious threat to the lives and well-being of their victims. Today, I want to talk about a different kind of celebrity stalker. The one who gets close to the celebrity and even to an extent becomes a friend to them. For example, I know of an actress on a daytime soap that has a self-professed celebrity stalker who is the head of her unofficial website and message board and from all appearances a close friend of the celebrity. That is something I know for a fact is not true. I have met this actress personally and we have a friend in common. She has little contact with the woman who can only be described as a stalker and never gives her "inside scoop" about what is going on in her life or career. Something she gives our mutual friend on a regular basis and allows her to share with me and others.

My point is, stalkers come in many forms. They aren't all dangerous, deranged psychopaths who issue death threats like Heidimarie. There are others who from all appearances are normal people. Everyone, not just celebrities needs to be on the lookout for this type of stalker as well. And never, ever trust anyone who claims to know a celebrity, unless you know them personally and know that it's true!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all! As I was watching the ball drop in Times Square on TV, I was thinking about resolutions for the new year. There's the ever present, "I want to loose ten pounds." of course, but then I started to think about real resolutions, resolutions that can make not only my life, but the lives of others just a little bit better and/or happier. The first of these is that I am not going to watch any tabloid TV shows such as TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, etc and I'm not going on their websites either. I already don't by the supermarket tabloids, so I don't have to worry about resolving to cut them out of my life. I would like to encourage all of you to make this same resolution. If no one is watching their shows, going on their websites, and buying their magazines, then there will be no need for the paparazzi to hound celebrities to get insight/dirt on their private lives and they will be able to live normal lives like the rest of us.

Is this overly ambitious, probably. But, as I have learned, the networks pay close attention to the ratings, and if a show doesn't bring in the ratings, they get cancelled. If a website isn't getting the hits the owners want, why would they pay for the domain name? If magazines aren't selling, why would the publishers want to print them? In the lean economic times we find ourselves in, it seems to me that if it is costing more to put the tabloids out there, whether on TV, the internet, or in a magazine, than they are making in revenues, that they just might realize that they can make better money doing something else more worthwhile or more entertaining.

An added bonus, of course, would be that HeidiMarie Schnitzer would no longer have access to what she, in her deranged mind calls "reputable news sources" from which to gather lies and slander about David Caruso that she can twist and use in her campaign of hate against him and his family.

So, in essence my New Year's resolution is this: To do everything I possibly can to cut HeidiMarie Schnitzer off from her "information" about David and his loved ones and to bring her to justice for the crimes she has committed and continues to commit against him and his family. And while I'm doing that, I'll send him a note or card once in a while to remind him that he has real fans out there that respect and care about him.

I'd like to encourage all of you to do the same thing, whether it be to David or another celebrity, send them a short note or a card and let them know how much you love and respect their work and wish them well. Don't do it so often that you appear to be a stalker yourself, just often enough to let them know you care. Remember, they're people, too and everyone likes to hear that people care about them and respect them!
